Client: Central Indiana metal coating and finishing company.
Optimization Goal: This well-established provider of anodize and paint
coatings for aluminum parts needed an economic boost, and looked to the internet
to help attain it.
While they had an existing web site, it was extremely limited in
scope and content, and was poorly formatted to take advantage of the
free, organic listing of the major search engines like Google, Yahoo!
and MSN.
Because it lacked much relevant text, it was not search engine-friendly and it did not
provide visitors a call to action or other reason to contact the company.
In addition to acquiring high rankings for keyword phrases targeting
Indiana businesses, the primary goal for this optimization project was to
create enough written content to establish the company as experts in
their field.
One important change to the site was to format the web site utilizing
current principles of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to attract the
attention of the search engine webbot spiders responsible for web site
placement on the search results pages. One key to this goal was to turn
a five page web site into a content-laden "spider" magnet.
Rather than try to apply SEO techniques to the company's existing web

almost 90 page source of professional information; full of rich,

with an expanded and more direct navigation structure that quickly leads
visitors to the specific information they desire.
The optimization of the site began having a noticeable impact
very shortly after being posted online. Within a matter of days traffic from the search engines began
to appear. Rankings for targeted keyword phrases increased dramatically, often
onto the first page of a search result, and even into first or second position.
Traffic increased steadily and inquiries soon followed. Within one
month, the web site was generating more than 1,000 hits a month through
the search engines. They have received inquires from small businesses
looking to coat single custom motorcycle or car parts, to major small
aircraft companies as well as Fortune 500 Corporations. They have
successfully converted a number of these internet queries into satisfied
