Client: A growing IT company that had recently added staff and provides network services and computer consulting to small and mid-size companies throughout the state of Indiana.

  • To improve rankings on search engines,  which had never found and indexed the company's previous web site

Strategy: While the new "search engine-friendly" optimized web site improved the image of the company and helped establish them as experts in developing critical and complicated business solutions, the client wanted more visibility on the search engine results pages to reach a specific targeted audience.

After the success of the initial optimization phase, the client wanted to initiate a pay-per-click program targeting small and mid-sized local businesses and industries in the Indianapolis area and throughout Indiana. 

Results: Still in the research and development phase, the PPC program is intended to reach new business channels through the judicious use of targeted keywords and phrases, and careful monitoring of keyword auction prices, as well as analysis of the results and changes in the program based on this information.

Within two days of posting the new optimized site online:

  • Google found it and re-ranked it so the site could easily be found on page one of the rankings when searching for the company name
     
  • Yahoo did the same a few days later
     
  • Ten days after posting the new search-engine-friendly site online, with some help from a strategically placed backlink, MSN found the site and ranked it in the page one positions it deserves for its name
     
  • Within three weeks of posting, the new site began generating a flow of traffic from keyword phrases that do not include the company's name, but rather include the important keywords that qualify visitors and match them to the proper solution to their problem or answer to their question
     

    One of those visitors, after searching for "computer network support greenwood indiana," became a new client  – the result being that the site had paid for itself in the first month.
