This type of advertising is fairly cost-effective because you only pay when someone clicks on your ad to view your website,  but continuous monitoring of current bid prices and your marketing message/offer are needed to maintain top PPC positioning.

  Targeted Keyword Sponsorship

Buy keywords or phrases. This type of marketing is rather expensive – thousands of dollars a month for the most popular phrases – because you pay to be listed whether or not your advertisement is clicked. Keyword sponsorship is frequently used by Fortune 1000 companies for branding and new product introductions.

While targeted keyword sponsorship is the most expensive internet marketing option, it does guarantee Top-of-Page placement, usually resulting in high-visibility and an increase of traffic to your website.
