Chicago Agency Posts Web Site Optimization Obtains Top Google Ranking Generates Qualified Leads
Chicago PR Agency Posts Optimized Web Site, Obtains Top Rankings
Indianapolis, IN, Jan. 14, 2004 – Three weeks after
launching its newly optimized web site, a suburban Chicago public relations and
marketing, has obtained dozens of top rankings on the major engines and
increased its web site traffic by over 500%. The site, optimized by DRIVE, Indianapolis, Indiana, launched on December 24, 2003 with
nearly double the contents of the previous version.
The focus of this search engine optimization (SEO) project was to garner a
high ranking when searchers added the name of a city to the searched-for keyword
phrase. Though most of the visits to the site based on localized searches are
for Chicago, many have come from other targeted markets, such as Elgin, Rockford
and Schaumburg, Illinois, South Bend, Indiana, and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
In addition, the site targets a national business audience searching for such
services as marketing communications strategy, public relations, and trade show
and event planning. As of this posting, the site is ranked #2 and #3 for
"marketing communications strategy" on Google, #2 on Yahoo, and #3 on MSN.
During the previous few weeks, this important keyword phrase has generated
dozens of visitors to the newly optimized site.
An additional, effective web marketing campaign by the agency, which includes
several sponsorships on business-related directory web sites, is responsible for
about half of the current site traffic. Last week's traffic driven to the site
by search engines was 1500% higher than the best week prior to the launch of the
new site. During the first full business-week of 2004, total site traffic
doubled from the previous week, the last week of 2003, and was 746% higher than
the first full business-week of December 2003.
On January 6, 2004, just 14 days after the optimized site went online, the
president of the company wrote in an e-mail message to Ken Zweigel, president of
DRIVE, "Two new business meetings have been booked
for next week based on inquiries that came in last Friday and late yesterday"
Based on the immediate and unequivocal success of its first SEO campaign, the
agency is scheduled to add a new, optimized section to the web site focusing on
its writing and editing services.
